Clean up week, which several years ago included curbside pickup, lost his oomph when the curbside service was discontinued. But this year it is fact, which guidelines. Gee, guideline are my Indiana Jone’s snakes, but at least I can get rid of microwaves and other stuff.
You are supposed to put items in boxes and secure with twine. I just spent time cutting up a bunch of boxes so sigh. You can only put out a pickup truck load of stuff; I may have to negotiate. Stuff is to be out by 6 am but you are not to put it out early because people make scavenging trips. Sigh again.
This is going to take some planning and probably a lot of sighing.
Why are they against scavengers? A lot of people scavenge here and don’t make a mess. They go off and sell or refurbish items. My son loves to scavenge and gets some truly amazing things. All 5he scooters I have for the grands are ones he scavenged. Seems to me it would be beneficial to have people get items they want or even scavenge for metal to recycle (another big thing here). I put out an old rug for the trash last week and a guy came by and picked it up. I was outside and casually asked him what he was going to do with it. He was going to recover his cat tower. Well good for him. I got rid of it, which was my purpose and he got a free rug he could use.
