Well, I just downloaded another free ebook from Kindle. I sure hope this technology lasts as long as I do. Woo-Hoo.

We got our son a Kindle for Christmas. He loves it. Myself, I like the old fashioned books. Paper. Turn the page and feel the ink rub off on your fingers book. The sensation of words running past my eyes as I turn the pages is such a pleasure. I’d say orgasmic but someone would definitely take that wrong. Well I guess I said it anyway….
You’d think as techie as I am with all the computers and gadgets I’d already be on board with the Kindle. Maybe someday I’ll take the plunge and go electronic on books, I think I’ll be forced to eventually but I shall always prefer the book in hand, the flip of a page, no batteries needed variety and won’t go until I have to. And then I’ll be screaming and complaining loudly the entire time.
Yes, I said about those same words to folks and then all of a sudden, ZAP!, I was using the Kindle for Mac. It should have told me something when Der Bingle was a quick convert.
Well then if I go, quietly or kicking and screaming, I shall blame Der Bingle for the downfall of my universe. He was the straw that broke AmeliaJake’s resolve. How can I now be expected to withstand?
Hmmmm. Now I suppose that should really read withstand the pressure of conformity…. Or simply the single word stand…. But I will remain gramatically incorrect to leave it open for individual interpretation.
