Snake reaching for sky?

Quentin was on the phone with me last evening when he started remarking on a Work of Art that was located alone a nearby walkway. He decided to take a picture of it and as soon as I hung up, my phone notified me that it had come through.

This is it.

Well, this is a phone photo and, even enhanced, the middle portion blends in with the tree. However, you get the idea. I’m not certain the idea I’m getting is the idea the artist intended.

  1. O…Kay. Actually it looked like a very skinny Tornadoe to me. When I first opened up your site that’s what I thought it was because the bottom blends into the trees.
Now that I look at it again it may be a lightening bolt. Does it have a title? Who is the artist? Does the base explain why it is there? Have I asked too many questions? Yep, story of my life.

  2. The name of the work is Smoke Dance. Quentin had mentioned it to me when he looked at the base while we were talking, but that information bypassed my independent recall memory and went straight to Recognition if Prompted. I suppose I can see it, but I keep referring to it as Snake Reaching for Sky.
