Sometimes, when I least expect it, Summer will come up with a compliment – though maybe not intended.
Yesterday we were in a fast food restaurant and she said, “A lot of old people are in here.” I just took a deep, sighing breath. Then she asked, “Why don’t you look like them?”
Glad to know the uplifting comments from granddaughters continues as they age. I love it when my granddaughter tells me, “you sure look pretty today Grandma”….. usually when I look my worst.

So what was your answer? Did you give her a moral lesson and say it was all your clean living, or did you make it a sience lesson and talk about your good gene pool, or did you turn it into a nutrition lesson? How was that chocolate sundae at the DQ?
