Taking up serpents

RIGHT HERE is a little internet article about handling snakes at church services. Actually, it is not a feature story – it is just a short bit on a pastor being arrested and a husband and wife being bitten. My opinion, as I have stated before, is that gummi worms would be a more sensible thing to do.

Oh, by the way, did you know National Gummi Worm Day is July 15. We must prepare. Oh, thinking of decorating for Gummi Worm Day can lead you to some strange thoughts . . .

  1. Never understood the snake handling faith folks.

I had fluff and you have gummi worms. We’re going soft……

  2. I have been associated all my life with snake handling people. They are good people and take their beliefs from the Holy word of God. It is very hard to understand , if you haven’t been raised up to believe this way. I have never handled a snake, but I have seen some very inspiring moves of God, especially once when a preacher picked up a wild, deadly snake at a homecoming service. The snake was on the ground and children were screaming in fear. The preacher picked up the snake and it went limber. The crowd was standing around in amazement. I have a photo to prove this really happened.May God Bless You One and ALL.
