Oh rats

Ah, you see there is no Peeps video yet. Why? Because I decided to clean some in the sitting room and bedroom with my granddaughter helper who is hot to make money. We made progress; we have much more to do. Now I am in a chaise lounge position on the sofa with a basket of my life’s accessories supporting my calves and feet.

Oh, it feels so good after the cleaning thing. Really good. I have to get up to yell at Shane who is barking. I don’t want to move. Actually, I stayed right where I am and screamed/screeched “Shane, stop barking or I am going to rip your head off.” He stopped. It probably won’t work twice.

I’m going to make an appointment tomorrow to see my doctor about my green cough up stuff and maybe he will give me something to clear the congestion which is making me sound as if I have a harmonica in my chest when I breathe. Sometimes when this happens, I fool around with breathing patterns to see what kind of noises I can make. Then I cough and stuff comes up and my chest doesn’t reverberate anymore for a while.

You didn’t need to know that and I didn’t need to type it, but it occurred to me if I kept typing I could just sit here a little longer. Oh, I am wearing a baseball cap with the brim down so it is almost resting on my glasses. I am imagining I look cool. We found it upstairs and it wound up on my head and I don’t know if the hat says anything or not. Okay, I leaned to the side so I could see my reflection in the computer screen which is not covered by this wordpress window and it is a Lands End hat.

A few years ago these hats were being sold for about $15 a piece and then they went to overstocks and On the Counter and the price dropped to a dollar fifty. I ordered about 20 of them and have been working my way through them, being certain to always have a supply of never opened ones so I could look spiffy on a go to town day. Those would then be downgraded to Wal-Mart and grocery store hats and then to just walking around and driving around hats and then to working in the sweaty heat of summer hats.

They are about used up. I will need to find another really good deal or shave a spot on the crown of my head and attach a small umbrella to a suction cup. I think that would look stupid and I have put in the stupid file of ideas that pass through my head when I don’t use filters. Which is never. I don’t think I can filter out any idea because one of them might be so crazy it just might work.

I am probably due for an intervention. The  gang here at the Peanut Butter Cafe & Roadhouse feels they are obliged to try from time to time. Then they spend a week observing to see if it “worked” and then they get downhearted. And the cycle begins again.

Which means I’ll be back, baby.

HO HO . . . I am back

One of the first things I am going to post is a picture of my plush Peeps bunny that LZP sent me. But not just this moment – because I contracted the cold everyone else has had. Stuffed nose, runny nose, combination of both, the coughing up stuff. Okay, enough of the symptoms.

Cough, Cough . . . Oh, sorry.

I can’t take a picture of the bunny because that would not do it justice; I have to film it. When you squeeze it, it makes clicking sounds . . . and squeezing it become addictive. He is small enough to carry in my pocket. But, oh, I just looked closely and there is no opening for battery replacement. Well, we’ll deal with that surgery when the time comes.
