My daughter's high school group had a girl like that. Everyone thought she was so beautiful when the reality was she was quite homely. She was very popular and very outgoing, always had the newest things, the money to spend, the means to be anyone she wanted to be. Kids hovered around her to just get a smile bestowed upon them. The sad thing is she was not beautiful on the inside. She was quite ugly to those she felt were beneath her. Unfortunately many of the girls chose to overlook this and became like her. I like hearing about girls that were truly beautiful inside.
